6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have had 3 students in this high school and with each has come unique experiences which has shaped my review. This district is more challenging than the districts within the area and with Ferris right there it does give more opportunities to the students. With all of that said they do have some staff members that are discriminatory and retaliatory towards students. If you are a parent that is very involved it is not something that they like. Constructive feedback is not welcome by administration as well which is the key fundamental to improving any process or person. That of course should not stop you from being very involved if you have a student in this district. It is a very important role and the only way to get things to change. Just know that you will be frustrated and feel like you are unheard as a stakeholder in not only your advocating for your own children but for the good of the school district. There are some GREAT teachers at BRHS! Unfortunately, the ones that are discriminatory and retaliatory bring down my assessment for teaching. Some teachers only care about the popular students or being the cool teacher. While it is important to make connections with students no student should feel like a teacher does not like them. This does not make the student feel comfortable, valued, or accepted within the school when they experience this type of behavior from adults in the building.Best advice I can give is if you think your student has any type of disability get the evaluations done externally and then push the district to accommodate your child. Teachers are not good at sharing the information that is needed to realize that there might be somethings that need to be addressed.Parent Review2mo ago - Brookside Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe teachers are excellent and make sure your child/children are reaching their potential. They javelin the best support system in place I have ever seen to reach those kids that are having problems in reading and math. I love this school!Parent Review8y ago - Riverview Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is the first year my child has attended this school and there is not a bad thing I can say about it.. But that could be because I am an active parent in my child's learning and teach her at home also. If my family doesn't move to Texas this summer I will for sure be enrolling my other children in this school.Parent Review6y ago - Check out schools near 210 Oak St #1.
