"I live around the corner from this place now. The area is going down hill. This is on a main drag. Emergency vehicles are constantly using this street as a cut through from Emmet to Capital. The only parking that there safely is is in the drive way. The schools are Battle Creek Public and they are absolutly horrible. That only matters though if you are wanting to live with a neighborhood school. There is really no nightlife anywhere near here not with out going to Kalamazoo. As far as shopping goes yeah downtown is really close but there really isn't anything much down there. Yeah there are a few stores but that is more of specialty shops. Everything shopping wise is at least three to four miles away on Columbia or Beckley."

"We moved to BC 2+ years ago, and really like the proximity to everything! We were nervous about moving to "the city" from rural areas (we did so for love!) but have been pleasantly surprised. The majority of our neighbors own their homes & care about the neighborhood. We look out for each other. Home prices are surprisingly low for what you get, based on where we came from. Our families always laugh when we say, "Oh, that's just around the corner", as if they can't believe that everything we need is so close- it is!"

"I use to live in this house on Cornell street. The neighborhood is clean and great. Quiet and neighborhood watch. I lived there 12 years until employment took me a different direction. I miss it and miss my neighbors. I love working out in the park and enjoyed the waterfall and feeding the ducks. I love walking and exercising early in the morning because no one bothered you. It was living in the city but without the city drama. "

"A relative lived on this street. They especially liked to save on car gas. Walking distance to shopping, restaurants, banks, pharmacy, hardware store, gas station, church across the street. On city bus line. "
