I love Hahoney ! My 12 year old just transferred to Mahoney from a much larger middle school in RI . The teachers are so supportive , and everybody that I've been in contact with has been amazing ! I'm so happy my child is attending this school , I can't imagine the transition being any easier for myself or my child .

Great teachers, great curriculum, each student matters.

Thank goodness we found a home in Scarborough school system. I cannot even begin to describe the horrors I went though with not only the previous principal but multiple uneducated teachers at this school. They allow bullying with just a slap on the wrist not only from children but my daughters teacher (won’t name names but the second grade teacher) who continuously harassed and targeted my day he her, thankfully I was able to switch her teacher that year and she was able to have a good rest of the school year. My daughter was considered above her level for math and reading and now entering Scarborough we are finding that is she is JUST where she needs to be and Kaler really dumbs things down for the non-English speaking children unfortunately, so if you want your children to get the most out of their education I would consider another school system. This is also coming from a mom who has attended all South Portland schools growing up and let’s just say I am so blessed and happy to have my daughter attending Wentworth where she can really grow her mind.
