"I drive 14 easy miles to and from my workplace in Bowie, MD. It’s a relatively painless commute even in heavier traffic. It is very convenient to access many main highways throughout the area as well for alternative routes to work. "

"There’s several bus stops right across the street and the metro is a seven minute walk away. I like the neighborhood. Everything that you will need is close by (Safeway, Giants, Target, Regal movie theaters, Barbershops, Nail Places, PG Mall, etc...)"

"Hyattsville is an up and coming community, everything is right here and we can walk anywhere, the city has bad leadership though, very opposed to growth, even though they cannot sometimes stop it."

"I have lived in this neighborhood for 26 years and have seen it develop into a warm community with neighbors of all ages and backgrounds stop and talk with each other, laugh together and invite each other into our homes. There is an annual city parade, a well organized home tour and a number of unique and interesting stores and restaurants within walking distance. "

"Hyattsville's strengths are the strong community and the nearness to DC. It's a place where kids can walk to each other's houses and play, and there are also hip new restaurants to go out for a quick bite for lunch or in the evening. There are great bike paths, and the property values are low, relative to MD and Virginia."

"To start wiht the downsides: Still some problems with car crime and litter. On the plus side, Hyattsville has great diversity, a good variety of home styles, sizes, prices etc. It is a convenient area with two Metro stations nearby , close to DC . There is a real buzz around the Route One arts district, which has taken awhile to catch on but now has some real momentum. I doubt there will be a better time than right now to get something here."
