6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have been very pleased with the experience my children have had at this school. My daughters have had fantastic teachers! I've been very happy with the programs they have in place to challenge children who are advanced, and to encourage children who need a little extra help. The teachers and administrators are fantastic at facilitating a healthy, happy learning environment for all children.Parent Review7y ago - Springfield Middle School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is NOT a place where kids can learn. I have had 4 children go through this system and with every child it has gotten worse. My youngest who is in 7th grade isn't learning anything as the teachers have no control over their classrooms. The kids are out of control. There are fights on a daily basis, all over the school. My son has gotten jumped , punched, kicked etc in the middle if class with teachers present. The kids rule the school. Not a learning environment.Parent Review1y ago - Williamsport High School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI agree the 4 subject school day doesn't challenge our students enough. It in no way prepares them for the real world where multitasking and time management will be crucial in their pursuits at higher education and competitive employment. The expections of students by teachers and adminstration at this school is mediocre at best. Come on WASHINGTON County. Let's think OUTSIDE THE BOX.....above and beyond "no student left behind."Parent Review13y ago - Check out schools near 1107 Virginia Ave #1109.

"Downtown Hagerstown is not somewhere I would want to live due to the high crime rate, drug use, prostitution, and homelessness. However, the neighborhoods outside downtown are nice. "

"Hagerstown has a lot to offer as far as community events. If you look on the Hagerstown City webpage, you can look at community events. You may also prefer to follow on facebook for neighboring events. I have not lived there in that particular neighborhood for several years but, I do know people who still do reside there. "

"Lots of people have dogs so I don’t feel bad walking my dog or if he barks. Everyone picks up after their dogs usually and there’s plenty of places to walk your dog. Also a big park near by for running with your dog. Every dog I have met has been friendly and so are their owners. I wish there was a fenced dog area in the neighborhood but there isn’t. Closest one is a few miles away. "

"difficult and slow about 40% of the time. Narrow streets with parking on both sides, no going delivery spots for trucks, and lots of foot traffic really all contribute to accidents and slow-downs"

"We have community dumpster days, bookmobile comes to the neighborhood occasionally, and we get visited by Jehovah's witnesses, even though there are signs that say no solicitation we regularly find notes and flyers on the door from various sources. Beyond that there is the occasional yard sale but community events are few and far between in the neighborhood. "
