7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son went to LPMS for 3 years. He had a fantastic experience, a lovely teacher and classmate. The school really helped him prepare for high school and later in life. One program that I enjoyed as a parent was the JA history work which taught students about how to manage money.Parent Review10mo ago - Quince Orchard High School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur son graduated from QO last year, and our daughters attend currently, grades 12th and 9th. We absolutely love this school. The principal is amazing; so engaged with all student activities, creating an inclusive and dynamic environment for all. There is something for everyone here, with awesome sports, fantastic academic opportunities and all types of clubs available. The student population is diverse both racially and economically, which fosters acceptance and awareness. Communication from the school/county is fantastic. Sure, some issues arise now and again with poor student behavior or fights, but problems are immediately addressed and resolutions communicated to the parent and student populations. We moved back to Montgomery County several years ago, looking for a more diverse, progressive and inclusive community for our family and QO has given us exactly what we hoped for; I can't say enough good about this amazing local high school. Our kids have fun while learning every day at Quince Orchard High School! I highly recommend this school.Parent Review6mo ago - Rachel Carson Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHello, I am writing this review as a current middle school student and an alumni of RCES. Overall my experience was meh. Here's why:Homework: 4/5 The teachers always gave us a decent amount of homework, I sometimes felt overwhelmed by it but it's nothing too crazy.Teachers: 4/5 Also pretty decent, some had great personalities some were mean. Still not too badLeadership: 3/5 I don't really know much about this, I don't feel like they put enough effort into this section of school.Character: 5/5 Pretty good this spread the message pretty well and the staff is always reminding you in the hallways. Don't worry it's not that annoyingLearning Differences: 4/5 From what I've seen my school does pretty well and really tries to help students with learning differences. Not enough for 5/5 thoughBullying: 1/5 Defo a problem, I've expirienced bullying in all my years at this school. Taunts becuase of the way I talk, rumors were spread about me, Older kids were picking on me, you name it. School didn't seem to careOverall: Decent school, just watch out for the bullyingOther Review3y ago - Check out schools near 91 Golden Ash Way.

"It’s quite small and centered between route 210, Waldorf, and National Harbor. Most living here are families with good jobs. Also it has become an area with steady growth in the surrounding commercial zoning locations due to the increase in residential property development. It’s a budding location with a lot of potential to offer its current and future residents."

"NoMa Bid has been creating a huge sense of community in Eckington and NoMa. For one they keep the area so clean and you always see their workers sweeping the sidewalks, changing trashing, maintenance at the dog park. And then there’s the events, most at the A.T. Park and the MBTrail. Movie in the park, farmers market, holiday events like pumpkin patch/contest, and of course the mural walls festival. The trail and park have beautiful murals everywhere and each year local artist renew most of them. (NoMa in Color). Also the dog parks is a big vibe in the area, Eckington Dog Park is the best in the city, but there are 4 in the area. Also, Bouldering Project is a cool bouldering and fitness gym. Theres tons of grocery, restaurants, bars and beer gardens, etc. it’s surround by Union Market, Brookland, Shaw, H Street… all connect my the MBT (bike/walk trail) and NoMa/Gallaudet Metro Station (subway).
