7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAshburton ES is an all around school. In our experience, teachers are all dedicated, knowledgeable , and are very passionate about their students. School admins are very engaging and helpful. Ashburton has one of the best PTAs in the DMV region with tons of programs throughout the year and which offers amazing volunteering opportunities. Last but not least the school building is recently renovated and its facilities are updated to the best standards. My son loves playing in school playgrounds during recess or to checkout books from vast collection of books in the school media center.Parent Review11mo ago - Walter Johnson High School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageReally bad experience for my son. He was introverted and needed support. Social scene awful. Too big. Not enough attention. Academics strong. Emotional and social support terrible. I should have pulled my son out. Tough tough place!Parent Review3mo ago - North Bethesda Middle School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI personally don't like this school because first they are not strict enough and the students can be mean and bully you. They do have a dress code, but don't enforce it, so what is the point of having it. Some students can be very disrespectful to teachers and their peers. They talk back when they don't like something, they talk bad about other people, and they think it is funny to prank or do their little dirty tricks on people. And sometimes the teachers don't even do anything about it. The school/teachers let the students say bad words. Ok to be fair, teachers are nice, but that does not make up for the other parts. If you are thinking about going to this school, I 100% do not recommend you to go to this school.Student Review8mo ago - Check out schools near 5719 Rossmore Dr.

"Bethesda is a great neighborhood. Unfortunately the small business owners are being pushed out by the the larger corp. that have bought up so much real estate. Rents are very high and commercial rent is as well. Sadly it is slowly losing its neighborhood charm and it will soon look like every other cookie cutter block with all the same large corporation businesses. There is a homeless shelter that’s not well advertised on Cordell ave & Wisconsin Ave so you will see people begging for money on the regular. Great access to I459, the Metro and DC if that’s seen as a plus for you. "

"I have lived in this neighborhood for about 4 years. This is a great area with excellent access to I495, DC and VA. Unfortunately the area is changing. All of the Mom & Pop places are slowly being pushed out and the same old big box companies are moving in. Tons of new building are going up over night here. A bit pricy. It’s a great place put you definitely pay for it. "
