8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe've had 3 kids go through his school and we're currently pulling our third from school and sending him to private school. ALL 3 of our kids have been bullied, all 3 were promised by the school "leaders" that he issues would stop... They did not!! We requested a move over to Conley and were denied! We requested that one of children be held back, even after teachers suggested he repeat and were denied!! Since when is it ok for a school to have more rights over MY child?!.. Their so called school therapist tried diagnosing my then teenage daughter with depression and suggested medication!!! Umm since when is hat normal?? NEVER!!! School also swept that complaint under the rug!! Our son was pushed down the stairs and once again we sat with school officials including the dare officer and superintendent, once again requested he be moved immediately over to he other elementary where we originally resided and LOVED and were denied AGAIN!! There is so much room for improvement here that were considering moving! I'm sure there a few teachers here who do a great job but we havent had the pleasure knowing who hey are!Other Review8y ago - Whitman Middle School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageJust an average school. Program level is below charter schools and way below private school. One year behind Charter and 2years behind private schools. I don't even dare to compare it to Sharon, Canton or Norvell schools. To little homework, max30 minutes. Positives: good atmosphere. Obviously kids like it because they have just a little work to do. A Teachers should expect more. No advance programs. I like the Infinite campus portal. I can have access to assignments and grades so i can monitor my daughter. However not all teachers post grades and assignments on the portal and this is a big issue. Overall just an average school.Parent Review9y ago - Whitman Hanson Regional

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTerrible. This school caused a great deal of PTSD and compounded my already existing mental issues by refusing to help me, threatening my parents without actually taking any actions to help a mentally distressed student. I could write a book with all the horrible things that happened in those halls, but I suspect no one there will care since they didn't when I was there in the 90's.Other Review3y ago - Check out schools near 32 Park Ave #1.

"Whitman is off the beaten path, it’s a quiet neighborhood that used to be South Abington and should go back to being part of. It doesn’t have its own school (for a long time now) and so if your a parent with kids and can afford it go to Hanover where the schools are great and there are things to do. "

"we've lived here in the same street Stetson Street for 5 years it's our home my son is acclimated and completely involved with school and sports and it has been my goal to stay in Whitman I and my son love our town. since Whitman is small we enjoy going to the town pool playgrounds we take walks all the time with our dog. I feel safe allowing my son to ride his bike to the town park to play with his friends. My son has been on the swim team he goes to the camp right in Whitman.... we're involved in the community and we again we love it!"
