7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSo bad that I moved my child. The curriculum is not designed for advanced students. Also a child who is academically advanced should not be placed as a model student in the class as this leads to bullying.Parent Review5y ago - Weymouth High School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a senior in the graduating class of 2017, i strongly believe that this high school has prepared me for college. Besides the main courses that are required such as english, math, science, and history classes there are many elective courses geared toward different majors offered in college. Business courses such as personal finance, online marketing, accounting, Entrepreneurship, and economics are just some of the many options. Psychology and sociology, criminology, legal studies, and so many more classes that can help students make sure they like the topic they plan on majoring in. i also feel incredibly lucky to have such a fantastic "CTE" program for kids who plan on going into the trade business. Cosmetology, automotive, carpentry, childcare, and allied health are very popular options helping to prepare students for their upcoming careers or college. There is equal opportunity for all students to succeed and plan their future by choosing different classes to get a feel for what they enjoy. this will help them with choosing their major. when becoming a senior, students will be asked to choose their career pathway which is essentially what you plan to major in when going to college. the senior class then must complete a year long research project on a topic in their pathway. this really helps students prepare for upcoming college projects and research papers graduates have told me. i truly am grateful to have attended such a great school and feel prepared for what life has ahead of me, thanks to a clean, caring, and equal opportunity high school. MCAS scores are also higher than the average scores in the state of Massachusetts as a whole.Student Review7y ago - Abigail Adams Middle School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averagethis school is horrible my kid went to this school for 2 years and came back with severe traumatic issues that they now have to see a counselor for, I advise other parents to never even consider sending their kids to this horrible school.Parent Review1y ago - Check out schools near 536 Essex St.

"It is a very nice, sought after neighborhood and with great schools. We are close to public transportation and Boston. There are great local restaurants and lots of family activities nearby. There is a beautiful 2 mile walking park around a lovely pond with picnic area less than a mile away. We have a brand new public library less than a mile away also. Weymouth also has a beach and delightful walking park called Webb Park."

"Friendly and neighborhoods are safe for the dogs. Several parks to drive or walk to. Easily accessible for owners to walk with the street lights on the main or the side roads. I’ve even seen some dog bag poles throughout certain parks which is great to keep everything clean. I don’t personally have a dog but i have seen plenty in the neighborhood to know the neighborhood is welcoming of them"

"Easy access to highway into the city and carpool fast lane avoids traffic. MBTA bus runs locally and efficiently and subway and commuter rail is close by. "

"We have block parties in summer. Sports events at the schools are very popular and extremely well supported by not just parents but friends and neighbors. Trick or treat is a big deal with all neighbors enthusiastically decorating outside their homes and participating when the kids hit each doorstep for candy. Christmas is special too with packed churches and beautifully lit and decorated homes. "
