Best school ever! I can see that so far no students have commented on it, so this is it from a students point of view, basically, I don't care what some teachers or parents have to say about it, it's phenomenal. First off, the educational value is second to none. Me and five other student (That was 60% of my class) graduated with an award for "Outstanding academic achievement" which you can only get if you're average grade is a 90 or above from fifth grade to the end of eighth grade. The classes are rather small, so the students are normally close together. Since I was with my class for 9 years, they were like a second family. The only thing that stinks about being that close is having to leave each other. Another perk of the small classes is the teachers can give plenty of individual attention. Also, they learn each students personality, and they know what to expect and bond with them. The school is safe to! I have never even heard a rumor of there being a weapon or drugs of school ground. Yet one of the best things, is the food. Made fresh in the kitchen from fresh ingredients. Not in a factory from boxed ingredients that have been there for 4 years. They serve not only lunch, but in the morning they even serve a snack for everyone! That's right, it's not just for the younger kids, every kid in the school has some. Oh yeah, they do restrict the size of snack to ensure the kids are healthy, in case that concerned you. Yet another nice things about the school is the field trips. Up until fifth grade they are pretty normal; museums, historical sites, etc. But when you get to fifth grade the first big field trip comes. They brought us to a camp at cape cod where we waded in shallow, played gaga (Look it up... best game ever), and participated, in educational games and simulation (It was this way for us at least, I think they change the trip often, but it is always fun.) In seventh and eighth grade, you go to Washington D.C. and Philadelphia. Both were super fun. Also there are a lot of teachers watching on these trips so don't get suspicious of the kids. I saw a review that said Richmond has little for kids with special needs. That is NOT what I've seen! I see teachers working one on one with kids, teaching them a lot. You can tell that they are learning to! Richmond is superior to all other schools in this area, and that's more of an fact than an opinion!
