I am currently a 7th grade student at Pollard Middle School. Building is outdated, could 100% be re done. I am in cluster three, and my teachers are amazing. I have a couple disabilities, and I have all the support I needed.

My daughter used to go to this school. The school itself now is in a different location with a different name but the staff stayed the same. The teachers were nice to both the students and parents/guardians. My daughter got bullied a slight bit (Not physically, she told me some kids were calling her names) but the teachers did not do anything to stop this. Another negative experience my daughter had with this school was when most of the kids at lunch were very noisy and as she said they were screaming(?). She told me the teachers made everyone stay silent for the rest of the lunch, including those who did not make a lot of noise, which is unreasonable in my opinion as they did not do anything. Overall, I would recommend Hillside (Now Sunita Williams) to others, but the teachers should pay more attention to what is going on, but when something happens they should not punish the children that were not responsible for what other children did.

As a parent who relocated to Needham because of the great things I had heard about this school, I must say that I am very disappointed. If you grew up in this area, I am sure it is a great experience. If you are a newcomer, you will feel frustrated and alone. If you are relocating to Boston, do not look at Needham. Look somewhere else.

Lots of busy work. Teachers treat the students like babies. There is no creative teaching going on. Lots of teachers who hate the concept of a one grade school. Principal is illiterate and egotistical.
