4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs close to a 5 as possible. The school could improve slightly on dealing with bullying in that my child had an issue with another student and when the teacher saw the situation both kids got in trouble. I strongly believe that a child should be able to defend him or herself without fear of reprisals from both the bully and the teacher.Parent Review5y ago - Abraham Lincoln Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageNot a parent, but I’m a former student who graduated from this school circa 2012 who is now a university student. Based on my experiences, I’m rating this school a one-star because some of the teachers are too serious regarding the tone they speak in and communicate with students. They’re teaching children, what are they expecting them to be? Have fully developed brains and act mature? I understand that children need to behave, but yelling at them and embarrassing them in front of the class isn’t going to help and will probably make them a bullying target. From what I recall, the teaching curriculum was okay-ish. Although, the teachers weren’t very helpful when it came to class assignments. The teachers also weren’t very friendly like I mentioned before, making it intimidating to ask them for help.Other Review1y ago - James S Daley Middle School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWhile I cannot say the is the best school, it is pretty nice! The teachers here are wonderful, and the principles are okay. My current homeroom teacher, Ms. Kullberg, is a nice person that is good at teaching her students. Our social studies and ELA teacher is also great at this. I have made many friends here, and I almost never see bullying happening. So yeah, this school is cool.Student Review2y ago - Lowell High School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have had 2 students at this school, one from pre-k to 8, the other k to 8. One on the autism spectrum. Both have done really well at this school. One is now in college, after graduating in the top ten in his high school class, which speaks well of how the Bartlett prepared him for high school. After an initial battle to get the one with autism special ed services, which was mostly an issue with the school department's central office, not the school staff, the school staff really stepped up with coming up with effective service plans. Good communication from the school to parents. I really have no complaints about the education my kids got here.Parent Review2y ago - Kathryn P. Stoklosa Middle School

"There is a lack of true green space downtown unless you are right on the canal. There is ample room to walk on the trails and paths, but not much in the way of open running room. That said, business owners tend to be very dog friendly with many keeping treats and water close at hand for the pups."

"Spent many happy days visiting this area. Incredibly convenient to many restaurants, coffee shops, Barnes and Noble across the street. Hanging flower baskets in the summer, sparkling lights strung in the trees shine at night, cobblestone roads. Best of downtown living. You're right in the heart of everything"
- Brendan D.
- 12y ago
"At night when the bars close down it is total mayhem. Police and flashing lights all over the place, crowds are rowdy and recently there have been some violent riots with the drinking crowd, where several police officers have been injured. Day after there is damage to parked cars, store fronts and broken glass all over sidewalks and streets. It is not safe to walk in downtown Lowell after sunset."

"Downtown Lowell is a fantastic place to live - neighborhood restaurants and markets make this area the kind of place you can park your car on Friday after work and not get in it again until Monday morning. "
