7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI haven't had a positive experience here. My child academically struggles in school but doesn't qualify for any special help. I had to push for my child to be put in academic development for help and continue to be an advocate when ''he didn't need to be there anymore.'' I was told that zeros are no longer given and that the lowest grade he could get was a 50 (in some classes). To me this is appalling! I don't want my child to fail. To fix the problem they're inflating grades, e.g. 3 x50=150 vs 3x0=0, so he passes. I was told giving a kid a 50 is better than a 0 because it is more motivating to get the child to do work if he/she only has to bounce back from a 50 rather than a 0. They reward my child for doing nothing. Let me tell you first hand as a mother and a former teacher most children who struggle academically will take the 50 and be done with it. He also doesn't get graded on HW if any is given. He tells me there's no reason to do it if it doesn't get graded. I was told by one teacher that one of the reasons my child was failing Algebra was because of his former teacher, who was fired, "didn't teach the Grafton way.'' I took great offense to that and let the teacher know it! Any teacher who has the arrogance to put a teacher down to a parent is unprofessional. I also asked this teacher to have my child get a tutor. The teacher stated he can get extra help from her and that if my child puts in effort and comes to class, my child will pass regardless of his grade. They aren't holding kids accountable. The school puts major emphasis on high achievement and athletics. That is wonderful and those kids should be praised for it as they work hard, but what about the children that are being ''passed'' that really struggle but don't qualify for special services? Well, the numbers for graduation rate stays higher for sure. I will commend them for hiring a woman for career development that FINALLY had people come from vocational careers and arts colleges, e.g. Berkley School of Music. My child has had good teachers who have been helpful and I don't have issues with teachers overall. I do have many concerns about watering down expectations for some children, major indoctrination, and the inability to think ''outside the box'' for children that don't fit in to the ''Grafton Way'' as the teacher informed me. I'm very concerned about my younger son and may consider home schooling or school choice.Parent Review1y ago - North Grafton Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe moved here last year and I’ve been impressed with my experience of Grafton schools as a whole. The administration, staff and teachers have been amazing. I love all the enrichment activities the kids get to experience on top of all the learning takes taming place! My daughter has made a great group of friends. Everyone has been so warm and welcoming and we feel lucky to have found this place. There are some strong schools in neighboring towns that get more attention (that we’ve also looked at) and I don’t think Grafton gets the attention it deserves. But, that’s ok because our schools aren’t overcrowded like the others.Parent Review1y ago - Check out schools near 9 Cortland Way.

"No commute as I am retired and don’t have to do that any more! When I did work it was just fine. Of course, I left my house at 6 AM so not much competition at that time "

"Fairly easy commute. Close to several major routes, including the Mass Pike. Only minutes from the train station. Roads are well maintained and safe."

"It's a family environment that's safe for kids, with local schools in the town area. I haven't really heard of any crime in the last 2 years that I've stayed here. But keep an eye on your Amazon packages, someone keeps trying to steal mine within 20 mins of delivery. Someone has their eye on the Amazon truck, it seems. Besides that, I feel very safe in Grafton and would love to start a family here. Also, there are so many kids around here on their bicycles, it'll be easy for any new kids to make friends in the neighborhood."
