This school is TERRIBLE! I wouldn’t send my worst enemy to this place! They don’t care about the students. They only listen to the teachers and they do NOT listen to the kids.

I have history with Southern Hills because, my 6 kids all attended Elementary grades there. Which was last in 2007 when my last child left. Now here in 2023 my grandson first year, I tell you it's only 3 months into school, this school is nothing like I remember. The staff is so fake and rude, they have these substitute Teachers coming in that apparently don't give a hoot about the kids. My kids teacher is never at school, so he always has a sub. The staff talk to the kids so rude its just should not be happening. Parents shouldn't have to worry about their kids while in school. This should be a safe place. I am so disappointed and disgusted, and shame to classify it as my neighborhood school. I would not recommend it. Their needs to be a sweep thru with the staff. And the school needs to be reorganized. Any time a Teacher can put their hands around a kindergarten neck, put kids under chairs for punishment and snatching on kids. And still have a job. NO NO NO!!!!!!! Their is just too much to name. They can take this review down put its also copied and pasted elsewhere. Signed: Janice Chapman

My child had a great experience during the 2016-2017 school year. This was our first year at SHS. Mr. Roberts is a great principal that loves his kids. He demands respect and receives it. He has brought the school grade from an F all the way to a B and working on getting an A in the short time that he has been Principal. I am proud to say that my son attends Southwood High School.
