5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have history with Southern Hills because, my 6 kids all attended Elementary grades there. Which was last in 2007 when my last child left. Now here in 2023 my grandson first year, I tell you it's only 3 months into school, this school is nothing like I remember. The staff is so fake and rude, they have these substitute Teachers coming in that apparently don't give a hoot about the kids. My kids teacher is never at school, so he always has a sub. The staff talk to the kids so rude its just should not be happening. Parents shouldn't have to worry about their kids while in school. This should be a safe place. I am so disappointed and disgusted, and shame to classify it as my neighborhood school. I would not recommend it. Their needs to be a sweep thru with the staff. And the school needs to be reorganized. Any time a Teacher can put their hands around a kindergarten neck, put kids under chairs for punishment and snatching on kids. And still have a job. "Easy access to Mansfield Rd and Bert Kouns/I-49. I can get to work in about 20 minutes. Actually, I can get most anywhere in less than 30. "

"I have a 15 minute commute and I’m fortunate that I can avoid the 8:00 am traffic. South Shreveporters think they can only use the left lane, especially when getting on I-49 north from Bert Kouns. "

"Well established quiet neighborhood, well cared for mature yards and homes with curb appeal, many long time residents, friendly, we know many of our neighbors. I walk my dogs at night without any difficulty, I love living here"

"it's a beautiful gated community newly constructed in phase ii of development. in this neighborhood we can walk, run, and the neighborhood is friendly and pet friendly as well no dogs running around loose."

"This is a great area, very peaceful! Many of the neighbors are retired, middle- aged or working class. Southern Hills Park which has a huge pool is located on Bert Kouns. These beautiful homes are close to shops, restaurants, and the post office on Mansfield Rd. Wal-mart is also nearby. "
