- Booker T. Washington New Technology High School
2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI can truly appreciate the staff at Booker T. My daughter is in middle school and she had a very progressive english teacher there named Ms.Gilbert. She is a treasure. she taught them how to be " critical thinker" as she say, and she actually likes poetry. A good teacher is hard to come by sometimes but i'm glad mine had a good experience. Keep up the good work, BOoker T.Parent Review6y ago

- Herndon Magnet School
7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI would rate our experience at this school 3/5. We transferred here from the top elementary magnet school in the parish for middle school. The level of work and expectations were lower than we had experienced in elementary school. The school as a whole is outdated from the infrastructure to the teaching tools. completely opposite of what we had experienced throughout our previous school years. There was also a constant underlying bias against certain students .Parent Review3y ago

"It used to be a good neighborhood to raise children, however since the rise in crime and people moving in and out of the neighborhood, it is hard get to know new neighbors. I happen to live on the quiet end and I have great neighbors."
