5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI was a student at Benjamin Franklin. I started at this school when I was in Pre-K, and I am now in the 9th grade at Lusher School. When I attended this school before Hurricane Katrina it was a magnet school meaning you had to take a test. After Katrina the school was obliged to allow any student in without taking a test. The teachers at Benjamin Franklin do not care about the child's education, they do not have a great disciplinary system at all and they just student do whatever they choose at this school. That is why I decided to leave for 8th grade at Lusher School. I will say that the only good thing about Benjamin Franklin is that it goes from Pre-K to 8th grade. I f you want your child to go to an extraordinary school send them to Lusher Charter School.Other Review9y ago - Check out schools near 1509 Robert St #A.

"My commute is very brief - about 5 minutes - because I work very close by. It is also easy to bike anywhere Uptown. A lot of times, it can be just as fast to bike as it is to drive."

"A lot of traffic may scare them. However there are alot of friendly people. I am familiar with this area and driving at night to get a feel for how safe it is because my husband and I are considering moving to this area. We are searching for friendly areas that are also trendy. This area is trendy and busy but also beautiful and feels safe! "

"I have always driven to work, and have done so both up and down-town. Magazine Street is in terrible shape and has both bikers and buses trying to use it as well as auto traffic. Use Tchoupitoulas St. "

"It’s a super safe area. Really great restaurants, bars, and coffee shops. Friendly people. It’s also pretty clean. Quite a few options for groceries like Rouses, Whole Foods, and Walmart. I have two dogs and I walk them often times really late and feel safe. Also I live close to st Charles which has the 24 hour street car so you can easily get around "
