9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageA year ago me and my two young children moved to Lake Charles after taking up a job offer in the area, we were already home sick & having a hard time adjusting to the area and new living conditions, and this school made the experience twice as worse, they are drama- filled, not helpful at all , and to say the very least they were not parent friendly; my kids were so behind here as soon as i moved them to another school in the area evertyhing changed for us! they got caught on their grades, the staff members were passionate and communicated very well unlike at Prien Lake. I wouldn't reccommend this school at all, if you new to the area with small kids keep looking!Parent Review2y ago - S. J. Welsh Middle School

It’s great to be so close to all of the best restaurants, parks (such as the dog park), perf et area for runners, so close to the water (which offers fishing, kayaking, sunset watching, etc).
