10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son is getting ready to attend his third year at the Lab school and I have nothing but good experiences. I absolutely loved the 2nd grade teacher. Since the public schools are so poorly rated in this area and the private schools are to expensive I have found this to be a great alternative to public school and the tuition is affordable.Parent Review7y ago - Hammond Eastside Elementary Magnet School

My son has one of the best teachers ever. I could not ask for more. You can tell that his techer is actually there because he cares for the kids and he enjoys his job. That is something you don't find anymore.Parent Review9y ago - Check out schools near 43206 Crouse Dr.

"My commute is minimal because I work at Southeastern, which is one of the reasons I chose to live here. That being said, the traffic in Hammond is very seldom bad, so commuting around town is never an issue. Going to and from Baton Rouge can be a problem if travel times aren’t considered. "

"Full of drugs , a lot of young boys doing things that are not good for their lives, school system is so far behind you might as well home school then . The special education teachers do not do much with the children who are mentally or intellectually disabled . Resources are severely limited here and I wouldn’t advise anyone to move here , but a semi ok place to visit "
