4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI HAVE 2 CHILDREN THAT ATTEND PARK FOREST ELEMENTARY. mY DAUGHTER IS IN MR. GIPSON'S CLASS AND MY SON IS IN MRS.NGUYEN. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS SCHOOL TO ANY PARENT. 2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averagepark forest is the worst school that there is now, It used to be good of what I’m hearing and they tried their best to make it strict and everything but There’s fighting almost everyday or every week, the food of EBR is horrible (lunch and breakfast) it’s always the same things and most of the time they are short of something. The school is boring and chaotic. I left and went back and it was no better, no I am not an adult or teacher i’m a student. I loved the teachers and things there and i’m glad I’ve graduated away from PFM. There’s lots of things you can do there but Overall the entire school is just BS. The only thing I’D miss there is the sports and my teammates or friends. I hated how strict they were upon us but now I see why they are that way. The people there are Problematic and attention seeking, and some of the teachers were hella rude towards me especially when I was In my first year of there. Not sure if she’s still there now but Ms.W from the 6th hall was the best. Mr.W was/Is a good principal and that’s it. Hope that school improvesParent Review2y ago

"Quite community with hidden crime. Some parts are safer than others but still has crime. Based on comments, some people are racist and makes me afraid to run at night. I don’t have any other tiMe to run other than the evening."

"Other people walk their dogs and keep them gated for the most part. There isn’t a lot of left dog poo. People clean up after their dogs in the neighborhood. "

"The community had lots of working class families and a nice park the houses are older more space and not to say that your in the middle of Baton Rouge and are close to everything within minutes."

"I grew up in this neighborhood and my mother lived there for 66 yrs. ( 30 yrs alone with her doors unlocked! Never had an incidence. Neighbors are friendly and watch out for each other. The park is w/i walking distance. Also people walk and also walk their pets day and nite in the entire neighborhood. Its part of the GOODWOOD HOA and the Fire Dept. Is just 1/2mi. away. Westdale magnet school district is a coveted one & w/i walking distance too. Restaurants ABOUND: Reginelli's, Monjoni's Italian, famous Fleur de Lis, Piccadilly, Brew Haha, Superior Grill, Brewbacher's, Rotolo's, and all the fast foods too! Churches chicken, Canes, Sonic, McD's, Subway, and more! Antique District! There is an Annual festival called White Nights when 100's wine and dine on the roped off Government Street and visit local businesses who support local artists, bands, etc. "
