This school is very unprofessional and unorganized the principal doesn’t interact with parents AT ALL he doesn’t even speak. He acts as though he is irritated all the time. A lot of kids there aren’t learning anything because they are quick to throw them out of school for any little thing because they don’t want to deal with them. Teachers these days are not compassionate they are just there because it pays the bills. These teachers say anything to and around these children and if u ever wanna get it addressed GOOD LUCK WITH THAT BECAUSE THE PRINCIPAL DOESN’T CARE it’s whatever the teacher or staff person says and he just signs off on it. The TOR lady will call you constantly about things she doesn’t even know anything and lies consistently adding her two cents on something she read off paper SMH. This school has got to be the WORST school my child has ever attended and i wouldn’t recommend this school to anyone if my life depended on it.

Although Tara High school is nestled in a nice Suburbian neighborhood it is one of the worst schools I could have possibly sent my son to. Staff is either too lazy or overworked but I’d say the latter. Seems like staff does not like to do their work and gets annoyed when asked to do so. My son currently attends Tara high and I’ve have a few problems with the staff not doing their job. My son has also stated to me plenty of times that he isn’t challenged academically not to mention the school is so run down not sure how it’s still standing. Unfortunately, I was forced to send my child to this school because this is the only high school within the area I live. With that being said this past week a few issues have been brought to light that has ultimately made me make the decision to pull my son out & be homeschooled. This past week was the week of the national student walk out for gun control and out of all the schools across America that participated in the walk out Tara high didn’t allow students to exercise the right. The principal decides to pull the fire alarm at the same exact time the walk out was to occur. In her words she “didn’t want to deal with all the commotion” Word of advice if you can avoid it Do Not Send Your Child To This School by all means.

Mayfair has been a wonderful school for my children. It is a very nurturing environment with rigorous course material. Any questions are always answered on a timely basis. They responded quickly and appropriately to the new COVID protocols. My kids barely skipped a beat during the pandemic. The new principal is amazing and I think he will be a great asset to the school for years to come. I honestly wish they would add on a high school so we could stay here even longer. I kids actually want to go to school and are learning so much. I can't say enough good things.
