5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageProbably my daughters last year at this horrible school. My daughter has to be at school by 7:30 and her class doesn’t even eat lunch until 12:00.. they get out at 2:30. Half the time my daughter comes home saying they had to stand and wait even longer because the cafeteria ran out of food. So they eat even later. We have been to eat with our daughter in school per invite by the school and they don’t allow you to bring in other foods to eat and they said there’s not enough to feed parents. The portion sizes are also TINY. My child comes home starving after eating just 2 hours prior to being out of school. Not long after that the school announced parents have to sign a NDA if they want to eat with their child. I’m guessing because all of the complaints about not having enough food, and the portion sizes being so small. The office staff is also very rude they act like every parent is a criminal and treat you very poorly. My daughters hands were full and we went in through the office so I could help carry her project in and I also had a question for the teacher and they were very rude and refused me going to the Library to turn the project in which is by the office. I did this last year and there was no problem and no where on any of the paper work at the beginning of the year said a parent could not enter the school. They just said you have to show an ID which I had. Needless to say there seems to be some stuff the school is hiding or not wanting parents to find out about. The super intendant will be getting a phone call/ email. Other parents will know about this as well.Parent Review1y ago - Madison Central High School

"its pretty safe. im not scared outside at any hour. there are some nice parks in richmond well maintained and family oriented. there are a decent amount of stores and restaurants for the size town. having Eastern ky univ hear keeps things relatively vibrant. in the same county there us also berea college which is very artsy crafts with interesting festivals and local music. also 20 miles away in the next county is univ of ky and a larger town with lots of shopping and entertainment. an airport and Keeneland racetrack lots of beautiful horse farms and of course bourbon distilleries since bourbon is only distilled in ky with water filtered through limestone. Boonsboro state park is between Richmond and Lexington where Daniel Boone built the second fort and settlement (i think) in 1792 in Kentucky. there is a replica fort and demonstrations of what life was like. the kentucky River also runs beside it with a nice campground and water stuff boating and fishing. "I work with a family here 2-3 times a week and it's a well maintained and friendly neighborhood. It's very hilly, and in a country setting. You can hear the highway traffic if you're outside, but it's plenty far enough away for safety. "
