9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageUsually when good things are happening at the student level, it is because the people at the top are performing well.I have had my children here for several years and one will be graduating soon. I shared some concerns with his teacher when he was in second grade regarding his learning abilities. She shared her own feedback and advice and we implemented a network of people and resources to ensure my child’s success at all levels (academically, emotionally, neurologically, etc). Ever since, his teachers and Mrs. Jones have been all hands on deck. I have seen the same kind of involvement and care for all my kiddos. The culture has been admirable, in my experience. They have implemented strong anti-bullying programs, all which my children are happy to share with me. I have seen my children grow in empathy and their social-emotional well-being grow ever since moving them here. This year they are piloting two programs for mental health as well.Thirdly, it truly feels like a community. Parents are highly involved due to the various activities that are open for family and community involvement.I do agree with another reviewer that student and staff bodies lack diversity, but coming from a minority household from different socio-cultural, religious, neurological, and economic backgrounds I can say staff is generally very well-rounded and invested in promoting equity and awareness when the opportunities arise. My children have been very happy to share their backgrounds and have experienced celebration of their identity. In the end, I look to my children to give the final judgement of Prairie. They are incredibly happy to be at Prairie and have a joy of learning we had difficulty finding in other schools.Parent Review5mo ago - Indian Hills Middle School

"The schools are fantastic and it is one of those neighborhoods you feel safe walking around. Multiple occasions I have seen kids around the age of 10 walking places with their friends without an adult and they are perfectly safe, knowing that is always a sigh of relief."
