Moving to Newton and getting away from the huge Maize school district was the best thing we could've done! We moved here to find a better since of community and got that, and NHS has been wonderful. We have a senior there and she's been well prepared for her next step in life. Are there some staff with room for improvement, yes, no school is perfect, but overall the positives outweigh the challenges for sure.

I am a student and this school was so bad it was my first year of real school and it was the worst year I get in over 5 fights and the principal did noting there is so much bulling in this school it was to the point of I didn't feel safe there anymore the teacher didn't help with homework at all it was so bad we moved because of it I don't recommend this school at all

I've had four students at Santa Fe 5/6 Center over the last decade and I can sincerely say that this is one of the best campus experiences we've had! A loving community that provided a wonderful transition from elementary school to junior high! We have always felt supported by the administration and staff - seeing our four children as unique students with unique needs. When concerns were voiced, we were heard. Being heard doesn't always make way for change, but it affirms that our voices matter.I have also had the pleasure of collaborating as a local business/nonprofit agency alongside Santa Fe for the last 6 school years. Even as we have seen a turnover in administration, we see a consistent focus on our students. We have been invited into their daily school lives and can see first hand the impact that this environment has for the students of our community.
