My son is a current eitght grader. Has gone to Coronado since 6th. The teachers really care and don’t allow bullying of any kind.

The school is very diverse, if one attends this high school one get a sense of other cultures and people's lifestyle. The school helps others be mindful and have an open mind, something they will take beyond high school. The education itself is not the greatest- don't blame the teachers. It's mainly due to the students who have fallen victim to inner-city violence, poverty, lack of resources, and being exposed to drugs. Most teachers do care and when I formed bonds with staff members they were attentive and made sure I was on track for college. It could be a hard environment for those who did not grow up in the inner city. There is a bit of a fashion show going on at the school which I did not mind as a student. Overall I am proud that I am a 2021 alumni of F.L Schlage I just wish their college readiness would improve as it is difficult to transition going to a university.
