8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe have had a 5 star experience at this school. For a public school we believe they have performed better than the local private schools in so many areas. They are very good at communication and when there have been discrepancies they have been accountable in every way. Their approach to education is progressive and my daughter did very well academically while attending this school, compared to her time at the local catholic school, learning is fun! They offer great after school clubs where the children are celebrated for being a member. They offer celebrations and social events throughout the year - we have lived our time here!Parent Review4y ago - Central Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter came to Central from Lake Street in Crown Point, and we have been beyond disappointed. I really thought the community of Valparaiso was moving in the right direction and seemed to have ample funding. I was so, terribly wrong. She spent almost the entire first half of her first grade going over things she had already learned, is very bored, they don’t seem to go too far into critical thinking skills, and there isn’t really homework. The funding is absolutely lacking, and there are virtually no events the school offers. They didn’t even have a Christmas program. Their approach to academics is sub par and it’s shame that so much money has been funneling into the town and none of it is going to the schools. We had higher hopes, as we love the downtown, but we are seriously looking at other schools to move to. My children deserve a better education than what this school has to offer.Parent Review6y ago - Valparaiso High School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI went to four school districts in my lifetime and this was by far the most balanced education I received. I felt the teachers cared and the ability to get involved in whatever you wanted was unmatched. The school is beautiful with a ton of great amenities.Parent Review2mo ago - Check out schools near 504 Union St #2.
