"Dog owners in this neighborhood would enjoy walking their dogs along the meandering bicycle paths. I’d say that the majority of the dog walkers are good about cleaning up after their dogs. However there are some people that allow their dogs to wander into your yards to do their business and don’t bother to clean up after them. Another issue while out walking your dog is quite a few people do not restrain their dogs in their yards and allow them to charge at the walkers, which is very frustrating. But all in all my neighbor is dog friendly, which most dog owners would appreciate."

"I have lived in Valparaiso since 1970, My 3 children attended and graduated from the Valparaiso School System-- I highly recommend these schools for the quality of education available to the students. Valparaiso is uniquely located only 20 minutes from Lake Michigan Beaches and approximately 1 hour drive from the Chacago Loop! Public transportation into Chicago is available by train ( 20 minutes away ) and The Chicago Dash which is a bus service from Valparaiso directly into the Chicago Loop. Valparaiso has a dynamic, and "alive" downtown with many excellent restaurants and shopping botiques. Downtown activities include a Farmer's Market in the growing season, a new city park, Central Park Plaza, with a splash pool, stage for local performers, open movies in the summer, picnic area and benches for relaxing! Medical care in the Porter County area is superior--- The brand new state-of-the art Porter Regional Health Center was opened in 2012. The newly constructed YMCA on Valpo's northside is a viable center for all types of fitness programs. Valparaiso is a relaxed, friendly town with leadership dedicated to keeping it the best in the area! "
