2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy experience with the school has been excellent at distinct levels. I rate this school high in safety and teaching. The teachers are dedicated and caring. Too often, the media focuses on deficit views of the school, yet the assets offered by this school are often ignored.Parent Review1y ago - Crispus Attucks Medical Magnet High School (9-12)

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageReally positive. We know this school has had a pretty bad rap for years, but we wanted our kids to be a part of a neighborhood school and we have seriously had no regrets. Much has changed in the past couple years and by all accounts that change has momentum to continue to get better. At this school our child is known by a really professional staff who genuinely care about him, he is learning a lot, and the atmosphere is super positive. They also have a really great after-school program run by a local community nonprofit :-) We love this school.Parent Review4y ago - IPS/Butler University Laboratory School 60

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a current 8th Grade student in this school, I love it. The style of schooling might not be for everyone but I really enjoy it. I've been here since kindergarten and loved everything from elementary to middle school. I'm mostly leaving this review as I've noticed some very negative reviews from years back when middle school was just developing. Now though the middle school is great with tons of amazing teachers. This school isn't for everybody but I would definitely recommend at least checking it out.Student Review1y ago - Center for Inquiry School 2

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageRecent Alum, Andrea Hunley ruined this school and played everyone just to get enough political clout to get herself a seat as a state senator. Would flaunt the achievements of the program and school as her own doing while the majority of students, families, and other facilities disliked her heavily made negative changes to long-standing school policies, and was an ineffective leader. If the woman couldn't handle an elementary and middle school with so few students she has no place in the state senate. She also used her position when appointed as principal to admit her own children skipping the lottery admissions process. Collier and Turner would be so disappointed in what you have turned this school into.Other Review2mo ago - George Washington Community High School (9-12)

1/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school has several bright points and also many challenges. I think the school does a really good job with providing a quality place to learn; many awesome teachers, some not as great, that's the way it would go at any school. The principal cares about the students and, in my experience, so do the teachers. Maybe it's not a 5/5, but it's also not a 1, so I want to balance it out.Other Review11mo ago - Shortridge High School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe principal is rude and arrogant. The school is out of control. The school has no dean or behavioral specialist and students do as they please.Parent Review5y ago - Check out schools near 855 Lincoln St.

"Great location! super convenient to downtown and freeways and walking distance to all the culture of Fountain Square. Yes there are some sketchier areas or streets and more than average car break-ins especially during the summer...but Bates Hendricks is one of the best places to live in Indiana. it's not boring."
