3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy experience with the school has been excellent at distinct levels. I rate this school high in safety and teaching. The teachers are dedicated and caring. Too often, the media focuses on deficit views of the school, yet the assets offered by this school are often ignored.Parent Review1y ago - Crispus Attucks Medical Magnet High School (9-12)

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a current 8th Grade student in this school, I love it. The style of schooling might not be for everyone but I really enjoy it. I've been here since kindergarten and loved everything from elementary to middle school. I'm mostly leaving this review as I've noticed some very negative reviews from years back when middle school was just developing. Now though the middle school is great with tons of amazing teachers. This school isn't for everybody but I would definitely recommend at least checking it out.Student Review1y ago - William Penn School 49

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averagethis school has really taken it's toll since under new Principal and staff. Look for a better school or magnet programs. Flag Camp and after school programs are the best.Parent Review8y ago - Center for Inquiry School 2

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageRecent Alum, Andrea Hunley ruined this school and played everyone just to get enough political clout to get herself a seat as a state senator. Would flaunt the achievements of the program and school as her own doing while the majority of students, families, and other facilities disliked her heavily made negative changes to long-standing school policies, and was an ineffective leader. If the woman couldn't handle an elementary and middle school with so few students she has no place in the state senate. She also used her position when appointed as principal to admit her own children skipping the lottery admissions process. Collier and Turner would be so disappointed in what you have turned this school into.Other Review1mo ago - George Washington Community High School (9-12)

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school has several bright points and also many challenges. I think the school does a really good job with providing a quality place to learn; many awesome teachers, some not as great, that's the way it would go at any school. The principal cares about the students and, in my experience, so do the teachers. Maybe it's not a 5/5, but it's also not a 1, so I want to balance it out.Other Review10mo ago - Shortridge High School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe principal is rude and arrogant. The school is out of control. The school has no dean or behavioral specialist and students do as they please.Parent Review5y ago - George Washington Carver School 87

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe staff at GWC care about their students and parents. They support the theory that it takes a village to raise a child and encourage parent involvement in the classroom and school. They work with parents if there is a problem and encourage you to reach out with absolutely any questions or concerns. The children thrive and are expected to uphold the Montessori beliefs of kindness, grace, responsibility, and gratitude.Parent Review4y ago - Check out schools near 619 Holly Ave.
