3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy experience with the school has been excellent at distinct levels. I rate this school high in safety and teaching. The teachers are dedicated and caring. Too often, the media focuses on deficit views of the school, yet the assets offered by this school are often ignored.Parent Review1y ago - Crispus Attucks Medical Magnet High School (9-12)

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageGood experience. Peer mediation to find ways to clr disagreements, supporting kindness and learning strategies to support creative ways to problem solve. Like the project based approach. Love that my child is learning to be kind and collaborate, while learning math, writing, reading, science, etc.Parent Review4y ago - Francis W. Parker School 56

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son has went to this school since Kindergarten, & he just guaduated from 114 today. The school could use a little work with disabled/troubled children but overall it was a good school &very glad to of had him there throughout his entire elementary years.Parent Review10y ago - Center for Inquiry School 2

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageRecent Alum, Andrea Hunley ruined this school and played everyone just to get enough political clout to get herself a seat as a state senator. Would flaunt the achievements of the program and school as her own doing while the majority of students, families, and other facilities disliked her heavily made negative changes to long-standing school policies, and was an ineffective leader. If the woman couldn't handle an elementary and middle school with so few students she has no place in the state senate. She also used her position when appointed as principal to admit her own children skipping the lottery admissions process. Collier and Turner would be so disappointed in what you have turned this school into.Other Review1mo ago - George Washington Community High School (9-12)

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school has several bright points and also many challenges. I think the school does a really good job with providing a quality place to learn; many awesome teachers, some not as great, that's the way it would go at any school. The principal cares about the students and, in my experience, so do the teachers. Maybe it's not a 5/5, but it's also not a 1, so I want to balance it out.Other Review10mo ago - Frederick Douglass School 19

"I've lived in this neighborhood for six years. We have great neighbors, growing number of children, many residents have pets. You're close to all the major freeways and less than 10 minutes from downtown. There's a bustop at the corner from this home. "

"You need a car but I do see some people take the bus but the walk to bus stops are long. Most houses are old on the side of town that I am on so the neighborhood does look ran down but I’m closer to down town Indy and fountain square."

"We are super close to downtown and the highway and have good access to the cultural trail for biking downtown! Lots of good restaurants in fountain square, and access to Garfield Park as well. "

"This is not really a good place for kids to hang out and is not a good place for younger children to walk around. On the flip side, once kids get a little older, Fountain Square is a good place for young teens to walk to and hang out, especially in the summer."

"Almost every house in this neighborhood has pets. Kids loved when I would walk my dog around. People with pets are courteous of others. "
