N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe principle seemed nice but only sat down or talked to her one time and that was when they said my son would be repeated. I had thought I had good communication with his teacher should would always respond to my email very quickly ! Although she did not listen . He struggled in the begging but towards the end was catching on but yet said he would be repeated then all his homework came back marked correct but answers were wrong ! Oh and my son never had bad behavior and the teacher lied infront of the principle saying my son likes to copy and she has been telling me all year and never not once did I hear not read before that very moment ! !!!They gave up the second she said she thought he was not ready fist grade. My son never did preschool and was reading at A-B level they want him at a D??? I saw what the first hand what the first graders were doing this year and I believe he would do fine. They told me there was no way around this ! My kid will get a new teacher the 2nd time around bc the one we had treated him like a baby and was very unorganized in everything I witness. Hopefully next year goes better since I will have to deal with them again a couple of years for my younger one ! Do research ob your teacher you will be shocked !Parent Review8y ago - Hobart Middle School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis School is the Best!!! All the teachers are really nice. They are Smart and they know a lot about the Subjects they teach. They give us the perfect amount of work every day!! If I am struggling I can always ask one of my teachers for help. I learn something new everyday!! We also learn in fun ways like Blookets, Quizzes, Gimkits, and Kahoots. It has been a great experience at this School. When I wake up in the morning all i can think about is how I can't wait to get to school. I will miss this school and all the staff when I go to high School. Shout Out to Mr.Roccaforte for Just being an Amazing Teacher!!! I love going to the Hobart Middle School!!!Student Review2y ago - Hobart High School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI graduated from this school & have had 5 kids, with varying degrees of academic abilities, graduate from HHS. All have found their way to thrive in this educational environment. They encourage students to pursue a wide variety of living wage careers from 4yr and beyond degree options through trade careers. If your schedule is mapped out properly, they have the option to graduate from high school with a college degree. This has saved our family so much money in college classes. My kids have graduated high school with 2 cosmetology licenses, enough college credits to be able to complete an Associates within 11 months from graduating, enough engineering training to be offered a job at an engineering company prior to graduating high school and to pass out of all prerequisite courses for law school. The options & possibilities are endless. You can attend the career center for a portion of your day and learn so many different trades and crafts. They offer several dual accredited courses that you can take for high school prices and receive college credits. They have a No Student Left Behind modo and they do everything they can to assure you get the individual support needed to graduate. I know this from personal experience. My son struggled a lot and they never gave up on him. They offered him one on one tutoring to help him complete high school successfully. They have school resource officers (police) in every school building in the district. These officers protect our children and interact with them in such a great way. My kids have bonded with their SROs and really love them. I feel it has helped the community become more tight knit. The officers teach an informative & helpful drug program. The schools are very secure and they have practices in place to protect our children and keep them safe. I really could not ask for a better support system for our youth... Our future.Parent Review8mo ago - Check out schools near 157 S Colorado St.

"It’s quite small and centered between route 210, Waldorf, and National Harbor. Most living here are families with good jobs. Also it has become an area with steady growth in the surrounding commercial zoning locations due to the increase in residential property development. It’s a budding location with a lot of potential to offer its current and future residents."

"Best place to live in DC. It’s a beautiful neighborhood that is urban but not downtown. It’s all about the park and trail, tons of restaurants, things to do, grocery stores, markets, bar. Has its own metro in easy walking distance and a trail that connect you to the east side of the city. "

"NoMa Bid has been creating a huge sense of community in Eckington and NoMa. For one they keep the area so clean and you always see their workers sweeping the sidewalks, changing trashing, maintenance at the dog park. And then there’s the events, most at the A.T. Park and the MBTrail. Movie in the park, farmers market, holiday events like pumpkin patch/contest, and of course the mural walls festival. The trail and park have beautiful murals everywhere and each year local artist renew most of them. (NoMa in Color). Also the dog parks is a big vibe in the area, Eckington Dog Park is the best in the city, but there are 4 in the area. Also, Bouldering Project is a cool bouldering and fitness gym. Theres tons of grocery, restaurants, bars and beer gardens, etc. it’s surround by Union Market, Brookland, Shaw, H Street… all connect my the MBT (bike/walk trail) and NoMa/Gallaudet Metro Station (subway).
