The kids there are stuck up and will bully you. There are constant fights and drama throughout the school. Unfortunately with the new administration that has been put in place I have seen drastic changes. The staff seems unhappy and the way the principal hands different situations that arise lacks professionalism. The school seems very disorganized and no longer seems to have the leadership it once had. 7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI was fortunate enough to meet one on one with the principal before the school year, and chose NTI for my son based on the opportunities and benefits available to him at this particular school. Their structure and schedule is not the same as other schools, and I believe their philosophy and teaching strategies provide an advantage for the students. Beyond the ideology, on a personal level, I have been made to feel very unwelcome by every staff member I've been in contact with since the beginning of school. Surely there are wonderful teachers in the building, but overall the staff has been condescending and rude. I would hope that even when dealing with people like myself who are apparently unintelligent and undesirable, professional staff who deal with the public could feign respect long enough to communicate effectively and without passive aggressive undertones.Parent Review4mo ago - North Junior High School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school does not set kids up for success. They turn a blind eye to fights, skipping class, and following dress code. One set of students are held to a standard of following the rules while another set is allowed to do whatever they want. Only parents coach the sports teams at this school. Teachers are not supported by admin staff or principals. The lack of handling fights and behavior problems leads to a complete break down of the entire student body.Parent Review1y ago

"Friendly environment; every says hi; kids play in front and backyards; lots of dog owners; quiet. Lots of couples and families of all ages. Living close to U of E there is a younger presence though every is considerate and friendly. Lots of people walk after dinner time and stroll the neighborhood to get a bit of exercise.
