9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI would like to start by saying I recommend this school if you are a parent but I do not recommend this school or school district if you are a prospective employee. I worked at Sunset Ridge for 5-10 years. I loved many of the people that work there. The teachers are extremely committed to the students and your student will get a great education. The administration at Sunset Ridge School District is lacking in civility and leadership. The main offenders would be the Business Manager Tom Beerheide and Ed Stange. Tom Beerheide has demonstrated an inability to control himself in stressful situations. Instead of working together to fix a problem, he resorts to insults and generally aggressive behavior. Not the makings of a leader or someone who should be modeling behavior for our children.The Superintendent Ed Stange is well aware of Tom's behavior and allows it to persist, seeming amused at his lack of self control. Other Instances of Poor Leadership abound in the district. This creates a culture of chaos and mistrust. This school could truly be something special. Administration needs to foster a better environment. I plead with the board to do something about the culture in this district. Many great employees are leaving due to the lack of leadership and from people I have spoken to will continue to leave.Other Review1y ago

"The park and some of coffee shops. The neighborhood is so dog friendly that several of the businesses have treats for your dog friends free of charge. Also the dogs are friends."
