2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI used to work at the center near there. I was there from 2002 til 2015. A couple times a month, some kid shooter and or a kid ditching would be running in Thatcher woods from that school and the police/ guards would be chasing them. The center would go into lock down for our own safety. Kids from that school that have gone to the center were either scared, dangerous, or didn't care about anyone but themselves. Driving by there isn't safe and anyone from Chicago, Melrose, Maywood, and or Forest Park knows not to send their kids there. If you have too go there, hopefully they make it the 4 years and that kid keeps their head down.Parent Review1y ago - Proviso West High School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageLunch lady's are rude when ordering food. The food was horrible by the way. Kids fight nonstop for fun some things can lead to death or serious injury. This is not a school. It's a prisonStudent Review1mo ago - Proviso Math And Science Academy

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIt's really good so far. I am the most recent review so things have changed since the older reviews. Now you have to take a test to get in. Everyone's nice besides a few characters but other than that there is a level of respect that everyone gets and it's very high.Student Review6y ago - Grant Elementary School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school is good but the space is so small, they need more space, and some activities recreatives after classes, The school need more maintenance, some classrooms don't have smartboard, and windows for ventilation, some more programs for parents to participate in school. The district needs to give more funds to school.Parent Review8y ago - Roosevelt Middle School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI hate that this is the only middle school choice in this area. I will be looking into a new school or home school soon. They treat the students like there in jail. All of these students are not mischievous. Yes, some of them are hard. The school appearance on the outside look like a jail. They have medal detectors. Staff don't focus enough on achievement, academics and social and emotional skills. They focus on dress code, discipline, and suspensions. Some of the staff I've been told are very rude and holler too much. This students in this school needs help fast. The ones that want to learn.Parent Review1mo ago - Grant Primary

"There isn’t many parks , there isn’t many schools around the area . Overall is a safe neighborhood. It doesn’t have a neighborhood library . There are about 2 popular adult entertainment club in the neighborhood and 1 dance club . Overall a family neighborhood. Quiet , mayor gets involved in a lot of projects and is well known. "
