Teachers do not take the time to discuss effective consequences when children misbehave. Children are not challenged. Many students mentally unstable and not much gets done to address mental illness. There is a no homework approach. I worry my kid will not be prepared academically for middle school/high school. 6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDo not send your children to Lake Park High School. Racism is very prominent throughout the school administration. I have personally experienced racism when interacting with Caucasian teachers, registration staff, and security guards. On one occasion, the security guard accused my child of being a drug dealer because they had “a lot” of money. It was birthday money. At a football game I was harassed by the principal, two teachers, and the security guard because I went to charge my phone in my car between games. The teacher tried to make me use their charger. When I declined, the security threw me and my children out of the game. I’ve never experienced such blatant racism in my life. It starts at the top and unfortunately African American families have to deal with it for four years.Parent Review7mo ago

"It’s a very Great community! Super friendly but most dog owners don’t listen and like to have their dogs off leash and greet other dogs that might not be friendly. They also usually don’t pick up there after their dogs on our lawn."

"I see people walking their dogs all around my neighborhood. I even walk my dog in the neighborhood. The park by my house has dog bags and a garage can so the owners can clean up after their dog, which is nice to have."

"Everyone minds their own business. You don’t have to worry about drive bys, gangs, or your home getting robbed or fear of drug dealer recruiting your kid while on the way to school. It’s a quite, welcoming suburb. Great schools. Neighbors are friendly and helpful. And welcoming people. School bus stops on every other corner. "
