2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a new student of this school I think its great the teachers are great and, the programs are fun. I've learned so much at this school that I didn't know before. The teachers constantly encourage students to get exceptional test scores and to give each other the help they need while they help themselves, the teachers are very motivated to help and most students are happy to follow directions and work.Student Review1y ago - Evelyn Alexander School

1/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMr. Orbe is the 2nd year Principal of North Elementary School and he's done an amazing job truly building a welcoming community within the school. You can often find him in the community going door to door to invite parents/guardians to events or to communicate highlights that are being made in the school. The overall culture and climate within the school is a positive one and you can see all stakeholders "buying in" on a daily basis! A GREAT school in District 187!Other Review7y ago - North Chicago Community High School

"It’s quite small and centered between route 210, Waldorf, and National Harbor. Most living here are families with good jobs. Also it has become an area with steady growth in the surrounding commercial zoning locations due to the increase in residential property development. It’s a budding location with a lot of potential to offer its current and future residents."

"NoMa Bid has been creating a huge sense of community in Eckington and NoMa. For one they keep the area so clean and you always see their workers sweeping the sidewalks, changing trashing, maintenance at the dog park. And then there’s the events, most at the A.T. Park and the MBTrail. Movie in the park, farmers market, holiday events like pumpkin patch/contest, and of course the mural walls festival. The trail and park have beautiful murals everywhere and each year local artist renew most of them. (NoMa in Color). Also the dog parks is a big vibe in the area, Eckington Dog Park is the best in the city, but there are 4 in the area. Also, Bouldering Project is a cool bouldering and fitness gym. Theres tons of grocery, restaurants, bars and beer gardens, etc. it’s surround by Union Market, Brookland, Shaw, H Street… all connect my the MBT (bike/walk trail) and NoMa/Gallaudet Metro Station (subway).
