5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis School is terrible as a student here I feel that this school is not a safe place for minorities witch many I am a part of and do not try to help those who are in need and I do not feel like that I would be safe here without loads of protection and it. makes be scared to be myself.Other Review2y ago - Minooka Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI cant wait for my kids to leave this school. The MIS school is like walking through heaven after a long dark road of MES. At MES you never know whats going to happen. I thought loosing 24 kids for over 15 mins is bad but it just worse. Keep your fingers crossed, and beware of CHEW AND SWALLOW TIME in the lunchroom. They like to punish the kids for talking during this time even though policy states they get 20 mins to do so. There is a reason this school is a 5.Parent Review5y ago - Minooka Jr High School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI was a former student here, and I would like to say that the teachers here are very noteworthy. They all feel like their own people with very fleshed-out personalities and that greatly contributed to creating an engaging in-class experience. Each class felt like a different territory, a new world, and I had fun with all of them, from the goofballs and the comedians to the warm and nerdy...However, I can't say anything else is super great. The school is very overcrowded, bullying runs rampant and staff does nothing to address it. I was a scrawny kid who got pushed around by jocks (literally- going to class is a fight for your life) and openly insulted. Hate circles the hallways like the wind. Fights break out weekly, and the populars (mainly boys) who think they own the place make sure that everyone KNOWS that they own the place. I felt constantly unsafe in the building. The school tries its best to offer mental/emotional support, but, in my experience, they actually just make things worse. "Confidential" information gets relayed to several people.Great teachers, awful students and no attempts to correct them.Other Review4w ago - Minooka Community High School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI moved to Minooka for the schools. It kinda reminded me of an early Plainfield. Then plainfield became overcrowded in the schools and bussed in low income from other areas. There is a lot of favoritism in the Minooka school system and the surrounding areas as well. Worst decision I made was to move to this school district.Parent Review8mo ago - Minooka Primary Center

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI can’t tell you how good it is when you drop your kids off at school and know that they are safe and the staff is determined to keep it that way. Knowing that the teachers really do care about their students, because you can see it in their actions.Parent Review3y ago - Check out schools near 10530 Tabler Rd.

"it's a small town atmosphere but bigger then you think. I live in downtown Morris for 10 years now, I'm 29 and lived in the city and also lived outside a town with a population of 73 in deep country Wisconsin. Morris has the mix of both and seems to be a great place to raise your kids. Morris has some fun events, okay schooling, history, great children sports, not too far from Chicago and Joliet, and clean. "
