3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageCarlson has been an awesome community school! Our kiddo started here in Kindergarten and has moved up through the grades. Every year, our child's teacher has been great, develops a strong bond with our kid and the other students, is very responsive, and communicates well with us. Our kiddo is advanced in reading by several grades, and each year, the teachers make sure that she's being challenged, often grouping her for practice with other students who are at the same level. So we feel like kiddo's learning things and not stagnant. All of the teachers seem to work together as a team, as we've had a lot of integration between her art, music, gym, and library classes with her normal class. Everyone has been super friendly, and the community feel is great when we come in for conferences, spring concert, rec nights, etc. This year, even though kiddo was remote, they did a great job considering the situation. Our kid was still able to bond with the teacher and grow in her reading and math this year.Parent Review2y ago - Haskell Academy

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy nephew finished his kindergarten here at STEAM with Ms Pligml- she’ one of the best Teacher. Principal, Teachers and Staff were the best. Respectful, INCLUSIVE, Accommodating. Maybe the location of the school is not that great but other than that, I have nothing but great things to say about this school.Parent Review1mo ago - Guilford High School

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHand down, this is the best school in Illinois. I am from the suburbs of Chicago, and I believe this school is the best! Students are expected to perform at a high level and if they cannot take it then they have an option to leave. My older child feels high school is a breeze because of what he had learned in the gifted school.Parent Review4y ago - Check out schools near 7323 Chucks Way.

"Lived in this area for 15 years. The crime was horrible. Very loud living off N. 2nd st. The houses in this area were all run down and very old. Neighbors were not friendly and could not trust walking outside at night. All you could hear was gun shots and dogs barking all hours of day/night. Would not recommend anyone to live in this in end of town close to the Rockford border line of N. 2nd st."
