5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHello, I am the mother of a 4th grade student and I am desperate with the situation that my son has been suffering since they returned after the pandemic until today, my son has suffered a lot of bullying from other students, I understand the frustration of each child but my disappointment is the bad communication and attention that the teachers have with the principal since she does nothing to control this situation she only calls when my son does something inappropriate but she does not care or do anything to solve it What happened to him since he was threatened with death twice, the first time he was almost strangled in recess by another child and the second time he was verbally threatened and I have been aware of everything that happens with the teachers, but the security in this school is terrible, the worst school that may exist since they principal do not have the ability to control these situations is frustrating and distressing to think that my son is in danger and is not learning adequately so i hope someone can help me with this …..!Parent Review2y ago - Gemini Middle School

"Very very friendly and well kept up neighborhood. Everyone helps each other. Great senior center and I love the library. It has wonderful programs also. Their website is the best. Des plaines has wonderful schools. Very easy to reach anywhere because of being close to the airport. We also have access to many major highways. Metra is easy to get to here for access to downtown."

"Lots of kids play in the front yards and even meet up in the small park by the townhouses. It’s a safe area, just teach your kids to look both ways before crossing the street since a good amount of cars go in and out from all around. Especially near downtown Des Plaines."

"I have lived here for three years. The community is the most friendly I’ve ever lived in! Much more diverse than neighboring suburbs, as well. The park district offers a lot of amenities, and we are close to the metra and ohare."
