3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWell, I'm a student at Wendell Smith and I think Wendell smith has some very great teachers that are dedicated and actually care about the students. At the same time they cant really control us because if they could control us, our testing scores wouldn't be below average and under 80%. It's not necessarily the teachers, but the students. This school is also like this due to the enviorment. I think if we had more income than before, our school would change because we would be able to acheive more things needed, such as lockers, new books, and etc.. We would appreciate and be grateful for more things. But I love all the teachers in W.Smith. We Rock As A Team.! :)Other Review12y ago - Corliss High School

1/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a parent i would say that this school is horrible, they lack so much and ask so much of the students. firstly, I would like to mention that the school hires anybody, they don't care if they're graduated or if they have a background, they hire who ever and its unsafe mention the past where a teacher inappropriately touched a student. the school has nothing to offer, they only have sports, and the teams aren't even good. they don't have any after school programs or clubs if your child is interested in any of those, please do not let them attend here. parents, please know that the school does no allow the kids to have their phones, they take their phones away as soon as they come in the doors. it's unsafe and unfair. the teaching is horrible as well, most teachers don't come to work and when they do they aren't teaching but they would still bring them work and expect them to know. the principal is never here but i hear that he goes on trips with security guards.. This school over stresses their students and pile work on them. this school is horrible, bugs and rodents run through the halls and the pipes all burst too often, flooding is normal here. DO NOT SEND YOU CHILD HERE.Parent Review1y ago

"Rosemoor is different from Roseland, is well maintained. I rarely see people walk down the block people are working. You may see children riding skateboards or playing with bugs. The neighbors are friendly mostly school teachers and police officers. I’ve lived in rosemoor for 20+ years ."

"The block I live on is relatively quiet. There are several Law Enforcement Officers that live on my block. There is a Community Center being built in the neighborhood. "

"THE AREA IS ACTUALLY ROSEMOOR AND NORTH OF 107TH STREET IS TOTALLY DIFFERENT FROM ROSELAND. MY NEXT DOOR NEIGHBOR RAN FOR PUBLIC OFFICE IN 2013 AND IS ACTIVELY INVOLVED IN HELPING THIS COMMUNITY TO REMAIN SAFE AND A PLACE CHILDREN CAN ENJOY WITH THEIR PARENTS. BENNETT ACADEMY IS ON 101ST & PRAIRIE AND OUR ALDERMAN LIVES ON 100TH & PRAIRIE. SO THIS IS THE BEST BLOCK IN ROSEMOOR TO LIVE ON! "
