3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageStacy Graff is in her 2nd year as the principal at Canterbury and has done a great job working with staff and parents. We have only been at the school for 2 years, but have heard from many parents that it is a night and day difference since the last principal. The office staff is wonderful and the PTO provides great opportunities for students. As with any school it is hit or miss with teachers as they all have different styles. Okay teacher last year and absolutely wonderful teacher this year. I really feel like the entire staff cares about my child and his success.Parent Review7y ago - Hannah Beardsley Middle School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter (now graduated 2023) has told me about her experience going to beardsley. She was mistreated by many of the students, and the teachers would look the other way. My daughter was an EC student in both math and english, and many students she talked to lacked the basics of all subjects- for example: spelling, multiplication, division, geography, and not even being able to name 20 states off the top of their head. They do not teach hard curriculum for the normal classes, and don’t even try to help the students that are lacking. The school also focused more on mental health than the actual learning. Kids use swear words in the hallways and the teachers turn a blind eye to it. I have also been told many times by my daughter that she has experienced plenty of hardships from the kids in the spanish course especially, which include but are not limited to shoving, being called racial slurs, being hit with basketballs without apologies, and having her lunch box messed with during recess. Another thing is that the teachers bad-mouth students PLENTY. Even the kids that have mental disabilities which they obviously cant help. If you can go to another.Parent Review4mo ago - Prairie Ridge High School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur daughter currently attends Prairie Ridge, and we could not be happier with her experience. The teachers at PR are absolutely wonderful! They challenge their students, provide support, and encourage out of the box thinking. The extra curricular opportunities are plentiful, and they encourage students to get involved. Students are supported in designing their high school experiences with lots of feedback from teachers and school counselors. We know our daughter will be well prepared for college, and we are thankful for all the opportunities she has had at PR.Parent Review1y ago - Check out schools near 423 Geneva Ln.

"I don't attend so I have nothing to contribute to this answer. but I do love mchenry county! I think it's nice that some events are hosted ...but they could be more enticing via marketing and higher budget fests, with rides and fundraisers & the like. Just some ideas where I feel community could be built stronger if the people in charge made the right moves. "
