5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am a Chiddix student and love it. The teachers are all kind and nice. They're really helpful when I don't understand what's being taught. I really recommend Chiddix. It's a great school.Student Review1y ago - Colene Hoose Elementary School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAll 3 of my kids attended Colene Hoose, and we have had a great experience overall. As in most schools, some teachers are stronger than others, but we have been pleased as a whole. We love that the school is ethnically diverse and that Hoose is the district-wide school for kids with cognitive impairments, which I feel has given my children a higher degree of compassion and awareness for all people. Bullying does not seem to be tolerated. The chess program is excellent at Hoose as is the Young Authors program, which offers gifted kids an extra outlet/challenge. My kids were very well-prepared for junior high after attending Colene Hoose.Parent Review6y ago - Normal Community High School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageStudents are exposed to a variety of programs, and counselors help guide them to meet their goals. Teachers are hit or miss, but definitely above average on the whole. Some teachers knock it out of the park. You will not find a better arts program at a public school. Music and theatre programs are top notch.Parent Review1y ago - Check out schools near 29 Aberdeen Way.

"Dogs are welcome and I have never seen one loose. Some people do not pick up their animals waste, which I think is very rude.. the “Dog Run” is not what is perceived on the pamphlets, it is very small fenced in area..so everyone just lets their dogs go on any grassy area"
