7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThere are some teachers kind towards both students and adult's, others just strict toward children but kind towards other adults. It is sickening that a student has to deal with this situation where they don’t feel they are doing enough although it’s the best of their ability. I understand that it’s strict teacher behavior but please consider their mental health and well being. Make them feel like they ARE doing enough.Other Review3mo ago - Waipahu Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is an average school, the report of 16 students per teacher is very misleading as most have 20 or more students. Grades are K-6 with Head Start Preschool using one of the buildings. Speaking of buildings they are constructing a new two-story bldg behind "I" - it should be ready for use by mid- 2014. They had an excellent principal but due to some false complaints last year, he is currently out- teachers and students alike want him back ASAP as the current "acting principal" has no experience what so ever, having only been a VP & doesn't even know what "N.C.L.B." means. The two remaining VPs are doing all the real work to keep the school afloat in spirit along with 2 remaining office personnel. I hope for the sake of the staff & children they replace him with the original. There is a lot of work to get back to the lessons of teaching to learn rather then to the tests and the teachers and staff take their jobs seriously, helping after school and on their own time. They are very devoted to the mantra of learning should be fun, important, and something everyone young and old should strive for throughout their entire life.Parent Review10y ago - Waipahu High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI was racially harassed at Waipahu High School during an entire class period, then brutally assaulted after class. I could find no one to help me during the attack. When I reported the attack to the principal, I was punished for reporting this hate crime. Most of the students at Waipahu High School would never do such a thing, but when it happens, as I found, you will likely be on your own.Other Review2y ago - Anuenue School

"Waikele is a planned community so it’s well designed and well cared for. That also means you cannot paint your house pink or build a wall or plants trees to block your neighbors’ views. Waikele is centrally located with easy access to the freeways. Going to Kapolei, North Shore, or the airport which is 15 minutes away is so easy. Costco and Sam Club are 10 minutes away. One of the best surprises and biggest time savers in living in Waikele vs living further West is you get on the freeway before the “merge” from Ewa Beach and Mililani. This saves 20 minutes in the morning heading into downtown! "
