7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMost teachers are trying really hard, and really care about student success. The class sizes are really big - one teacher usually has 30 students, and the SpEd assistant helps out with particular students most of the time. But most students want to be successful, and the vast majority of the staff work hard to help them. But when every teacher sees 150-180 students, the handful of bad apples quickly color the experience for everyone. The project-based-learning concept works in some places, but this school is still tied to the district requirements that undermine that system. They have to teach certain traditional classes, which means they can't work in teams to create really useful and interesting multi-disciplinary projects. So most staff and students here are wonderful and trying really hard, but are being undermined by a rigid district system and the administration not dealing effectively with the few trouble makers.Teacher Review6y ago - Ke Kula O Ehunuikaimalino

"Kapolei has two main areas for a great shopping experience. There are many restaurants located all over kapolei and a few movie theaters. Couple community fairs/carnivals a year. Beaches are close by and easily accessible year round. People on this side of the island are generally more friendlier since we are further away from the Honolulu which gives a more relaxed feeling compared to living in the city. "
