3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son is a current student at this school and is on the sixth grade leopards team, he has been constantly complaining about his math teacher yelling at him and his classmates for no reason at all, cussing at students, is very violent, and in all honesty I do not feel safe with my son at this school. And he has been talking nonstop about his math teacher getting a DUI, and yes he is an adult, but there are photos of his mugshot all over the school! Students don't have to follow the dress code and dress like they're either going to the club or posing for a mugshot. Girls run around in midriff shirts with their belly rings prominently displayed. It's really disgusting. The principal has no control whatsoever over the students. There is fighting, constant disrespect to teachers, and cellphone usage in class. Students aren't given consequences for cussing out teachers or each other; they skip class; they roam the hallways. They just basically do what they want. NHHS was on lockdown several times this year due to weapons. This school could be restored to its former greatness if the adminstration was stronger and would take control. IEPs and 504 plans are not followed at this school. Graduation rate is high because they just pass everyone along whether or not they actually mastered the content or not.Other Review11mo ago

"Our neighborhood is very quiet and everyone is friendly. They all seem to have dogs and walk them frequently. Plenty of shopping and restaurants close by!!!! I95 95 and I 16 close by to get to downtown, Savannah, and Hilton Head!"

"My commute only takes 15 minutes in the morning and 15-30 minutes in the afternoon. Traffic at 7:30-8 is light. It starts picking up after that. In the afternoon, Dean forest road is light in traffic but traffic picks up between 4:20-4:45 PM. At this time you should expect delays. "

"I’ve lived in Pooler for years. Our neighborhood is cute, very green, clean, has lots of places to walk, it’s quiet but also fun. There’s a dog park and a lake just down road a short walk away. Our neighborhood is very friendly and active. Holidays are always fun and the neighborhood goes all out with decorations and celebrations. Food trucks come thru regularly and set up at the pool area for residents to walk down to grab a local bite to eat. Lots of families and kids in the neighborhood. Overall, a very nice place to live. It’s also conveniently located by interstate 16 and 95 and just minutes from lots of restaurants and the outlets. "

"It has a large beautiful pond,but it’s not restricted off from children. Be cautious of that. This is a lovely neighbor and it’s pretty quiet despite being in town. The only loud noise that happens is when an airplane flies overhead."
