Teachers appear to just not care about what they are contributing to the children, but waiting to retirement. Teachers showing up for scheduled meetings in leggings, Ugg boots, and a t-shirt. 7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have 3 children who graduated from Evans HIgh School. They were all accepted at Georgia Tech after a very successful high school education. I was a band parent for 10 years in a row and volunteered with the band boosters. I spent many fall Friday nights working in the concession stand during football games. I always felt my kids and I were in a safe place where they were valued and cared for. 7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBlack students, especially black boys are not treated equally by the principal and several teachers. Black boys are most likely to be suspended and disciplined than any other race at Columbia Middle School. The implicit bias against my son started at the beginning of 6th grade and continued through 8th grade. So many black students have transferred from this school because of these issues. The leaders of this school should consider using compassionate intervention strategies and learn how to build positive relationships with black students.Parent Review1y ago

"Good for a major city. Busy during rush hour traffic in am and pm but good overall. Shopping and restaurants and major highways are nearby. Easy to get around town. "

"It is a good neighborhood. Not dangerous and slightly older. I get the feeling that everyone here is just trying to live their lives and not interfere with others. Very central to everything and a great place for anyone. Would recommend to anyone "
