"I drive all over Atlanta. Mableton is OTP, with access to both 285 and 20. Midtown can be reached by 285, 20, or local streets - depending on which route has least amount of traffic. Airport is about a 30 min drive. Highway and local street options. "

"it's a well established neighborhood. trees are large and full so it feels more like a park with houses rather than a clear cut lot with boxes and a requisite tree planned on the front yard. "

"To watch their children get on the school bus safe and drive slowly around that time in the morning. Always lookout for strange people that are loitering around the streets where your children are taking the bus."

"Most people don’t control their dogs. I’m in the process of replacing my fence so I don’t currently have one. The people before me had a problem with kids reaching over the fence and abusing their dogs causing them to be aggressive when it comes to their yard. This is a horrible neighborhood for dog owners and non-animal owners. We have heard police sirens and gun shots. On different occasions my husband and I have heard home alarms going off. It’s a horrible neighborhood. We have been renting in this neighborhood for only two months and have been looking for a new place for a month."

"This area of Mableton is still nice. However,I wouldn't want to raise children in Mableton any more. It's not a good place for raising children. Douglas Drive,as are many subdivisions,is loaded with Coyotes,so it's not a safe place to leave any pet outside overnight, even in a fence. Coyotes climb fences after prey. Any pet is prey for the Coyote."

"I lived in this area for most of my entire life and have watched it rapidly decline. Anyone looking to move to this area with children and pets should not even consider this area for raising their family. The area is known for many things that you do not want in a community which you decide to live in. Mableton was once a nice area; unfortunately now, it is always making the news and news for which you wouldn't want your area to be known for. Check the public statistics on the area, or any area first before you choose to purchase a home and raise a family."
