5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe are a military family and have had experiences with so many schools. Guyton Elementary was by far our favorite elementary school and we miss it so much. We were not “locals” but my kids were treated very well and everyone from the front office to the teachers and para pros were the best. They really seemed to care about the kids. They did so many fun things for the students as well and encouraged parent involvement. 7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs someone who grew up in this county I'm sad to see how bad this school is now. My kid goes there now and we are only looking forward to the day they get out. Some of the teachers are really good, but the administration is more focused on dress codes that make no difference to education they have no time for anything else. My kid has told me about friends who are girls that have reported sexual harassment and even abuse to the counselors and they just sent them back to class and did nothing about it. Kids end up spending time in ISS (in school suspension) for wearing the wrong kind of pants, shoes or mix matched socks. How is this helping their education? When I went here as long as you weren't dressed indecent or wearing something offensive you were good. Now the students are treated more like inmates. This used to be a really good school, but I wish I could take my kid out now. Kids of friends who moved here from other states are shocked by how mean the other kids are and how unfriendly the administration is to the kids.Parent Review3mo ago

"There is no side walk so you are walking in the road. no dog park in the area as well. Pet owners should be more curtious of the people that live next to them when letting their dogs bark outside in the late nights and early mornings."
