6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am a parent of twin children. I have one child enrolled at this school and the other at Dublin Middle. I once had both enrolled here, but the bullying for our Asperger's son was out of control, and the school (and especially the principal) was not able to do anything productive about it, and didn't care too much about us wanting to be involved. There is also too much focus on sports, with an example that one time my daughter was required to sit in the bleachers at the football field during her Technology class while the teacher painted lines on the field for the upcoming game that week. If your child is a middle-of-the-road type of child or is strong with band, this school may do well for you. Before removing our son from the school, our daughter was not doing as well as she could have, being concerned about her brother's safety. After we moved him, her academics excelled.Parent Review10y ago - Southwest Laurens Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am very impressed with SWLE. I have 2 granddaughters going here. They both love the school. Their mother, my daughter, says the school is like family. The teachers are real teachers, not just for a paycheck. But for a child. Thank you, SWLE, for being a strong school in the community. I wouldn't want my grandchildren going anywhere else.Other Review5y ago - East Laurens Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageLice Central. My kids are friend's from some kids from this school. Every once in awhile I give the kids another chance to hangout with my children but have to return them ASAP. I tried calling the school Nurse about the situation but, no luck with that. They didn't even call me back when I left a message. The kids said they keep getting the lice from there school. Even the Middle School is infested. I'm not sure about the High School yet. My next step will be taking legal actions to help these kids not to suffer anymore. I'll review again once the matter is dealt with.Other Review11y ago - East Laurens High School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBecause this school will not fix their lice infestation I will not let my children hangout with kids from this school. Every child I have invited over to my home from East Laurens has lice and they all said they keep getting it from school. How is it legal for this school to allow lice? Very gross, please steer clear from East Laurens schools.Other Review11y ago - East Laurens Primary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have a son in the 1st GRADE and he is doing really GREAT at ELP school. The teachers we have are GREAT * KELLIE HAMRICK ,CARLA DOLLAR ,JENNIFER ALLEN AND DEBBIE COX *just to name a few and all the staff are OUTSTANDING as well !! We have a GREAT Principal *SHERRIE MOORMAN* that cares about the direction her students are headed in giving them a STRONG FOUNDATION to build from .. My child has 50 AR POINTS going into the Christmas Holidays and I think that is Amazing when he was just taught to read last year , I would definitely recommend EAST LAURENS PRIMARY for any child .Parent Review9y ago - West Laurens High School

"I really love where i live it’s very quiet area it has great people it’s close to shopping stores as we’ll as churches. Only downfall is i wish that i didn’t have upstairs neighbors because they don’t have no respect for the tenants living under them."

"I live in a Rural area outside of Dublin. No neighbors, no loud music, no crime, and no worries. I see deer, fox, coyotes, turkeys, rabbits, turtles, and a panther maybe 3 times in 8 years that I have been here"

"We moved here nearly three years ago into a small rental home that we only expected to be in for a very short time. Until that point, both my husband and I had only lived in very rural areas of southwestern Laurens county and were a bit reluctant and uncertain how we’d adapt to life within the city limits and to having literal “right next door” neighbors. Our time and options were very slim then and this little house felt the most like “home for now”. Fortunately, we’ve made nothing but good memories and good friends in this nice and quiet little corner of Stonewall Street. While we have outgrown this home and are ready to spread back out into the country, we will remember this neighborhood, home and people who live around us fondly. The kids have put hundreds of miles on their scooters, bicycles and tennis shoes up and down these streets and have swapped backyards with nearly every kid on the block at one point or another. This is a special spot in an even more special town and anyone could find themselves very happy and comfortable here for any amount of time. "
