7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe teachers and education here are great, and my kids excel educationally here. But *sigh*, I missed another work meeting because the bus, yet again, drove past my house without stopping. My child in tears... and I'm making excuses to my boss. This has happened often over the 8 years my children have been here. And as always, the transportation dept phone just rings and rings and goes to a full mailbox where you cannot leave a message. Even if they did answer, past history tells me they'll be rude and non-chalant about it anyway.Parent Review10y ago - Roopville Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is absolutely AMAZING! My daughter was at another school close by, and it seemed as though she was just another number. Only her teachers and the students in her class knew her name. When we changed to Roopville, I was impressed that it seems like everyone knows her name (the principal, staff, lunchroom ladies, everyone)!!! She feels important, loved, and special from everyone at the school. Who wouldn't want that for their child??? My child has no talents, average grades, but at Roopville they treat every child like they are a special part of the school family. The principal even sent my daughter a postcard over the summer just to let her know they missed her. It is nice to know that I am leaving my daughter with people that will love her, protect her, all while teaching her and molding her. I couldn't be happier with Roopville. And I know as a parent, I am welcome to visit my daughter or volunteer as much as I want. Truly an amazing school!!!Parent Review9y ago - Central High School

"It’s a nice peaceful little town with amazing hospitality. Except for the annoying rich people who don’t want a freaking side walk case the don’t want anything built in their yard. Even though that makes it dangerous for me to walk my dogs CAUSE I HAVE TO WALK THEM IN THE FREAKING STREET "

"The area Is rural. Lots of farmland; good for gardening and animals including livestock. Not safely walkable for kids or riding bikes as roads are 2 lanes with no sidewalks and cars tend to travel exceeding the speed limit. Pretty much have to drive everywhere. Occasionally see bicycle club (adult)group riding thru the area. Hickory Level community has an active association to help become acquainted with neighbors "
